Dates is a British television romantic drama series created by Bryan Elsley, who also created Skins, which first aired on Channel 4 on 10 June 2013, at 22:00, as part of its "Mating Season" programming, illustrating a series of first dates between online dating service users. The show's target audience is "ABC1".

David and Mia
Northern lorry driver David arrives at a restaurant to meet Celeste with whom he has arranged a date via the Internet. 'Celeste' arrives but is actually called Mia and proceeds to be offensive to him and the waitress. She eventually drops her guard and starts to get on with David but whilst he talks about himself and his late wife, she is enigmatic and leaves without telling him. He catches up with her and they kiss before she flees in a taxi.
Jenny and Nick
Jenny is a lonely primary school teacher recovering from a disastrous broken relationship. Nick is a city boy richly endowed with both cash and secrets. On their first date they find out everything there is to know about each other, and knowing everything can be a dangerous and unpredictable business.
Mia and Stephen
Mia is putting herself around town. Stephen is a disenchanted surgeon with a surfeit of self-regard who doesn't know what he is looking for. When Mia gets under his skin, he realises that there might be more to himself than good looks and a high-flying career.
